"In

The
Europeans the Independent Scheduled Castes and the Independent Caste Hindus lent
support to the alliance. For this reason, Abul Kashem Fazlul Hoaque was appointed the Premier of Bengal.
His reign was unstable as if it was marred. The Independent Scheduled Castes seceded. Following the betrayal by Indian National Congress, he also moved the Lahore resolution.
The
Viceroy of India, Lord Linlithglow nominated him to the Defence Council in that
time. The Quaid-i-Azam who headed the All-India Muslim League asked him to
resign from that position. After that, he obeyed but, resigned from the League
Working Committee. For this reason, of Abul
Kashem Fazlul Hoaque reluctance to obey
the League ministers resigned.
In 1945, he contested elections on two seats by own. On the other hand, his party was trounced by the All India Muslim League. In 1947, he only joined the League campaign to include Calcutta. The other prominent supporters included Husseyn S. S. and Sarat C. Bose. The opposition of the Congress, ensured a partition of the province. After that, he accused Jinnah of not working hard enough for the cause. He managed to lead a fragile short lived alliance with Right wing-Hindutwa leader S. Mukherjee.
He was an admirer of Netaji basu, but he was very angry on him as Netaji basu started hunger strike on demand of removing Hallwell Monument and many other, Huq needed stability to discuss the land reform. Later Abul Kashem regretted hearing News of death of Netaji Basu.
